How To Test My Antivirus Solution?

Eicar test enables you to check your antivirus solution using a safe file developed for primarily for testing purposes. Its more or less like you taking a simulated car crash test.

To test your antivirus solution, follow these steps:

1. Download the test from the official webpage of the EICAR organization http://www.eicar.org/.
2. Click the Anti-Malware Testfile
3. Click Download on the left-side menu.
4. From Download area using the standard protocol http click the com test file.
5. You will be informed that the page you are trying to access contains the EICAR-Test-File (not a virus).

If you click I understand the risks, take me there anyway, the download of the test will begin and a pop-up from your Antivirus product will inform you that a virus was detected.
