How to solve issue of computer or device not appearing on the network map?

This error occurs when Windows cannot detect a computer on a network assigned to the Public place location.

Follow the instructions to solve issue of computer or device not appearing on the network map:

To enable LLTD:

1. Click ‘Start’ then Click ‘Control Panel’.
2. Click ‘Network and Internet’ then Click ‘Network and Sharing Center’.
3. Click ‘Manage network connections’.
4. Right-click ‘Network adapter’ icon then click ‘Properties’.
5. Select the check boxes : Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver.,Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder.,Click ‘OK’.

To turn on network discovery:

1. Click ‘Start’ then Clicking ‘Control Panel’.
2. Click ‘Network and Internet’.
3. Click ‘Network and Sharing Center’.
4. If network discovery is off click the arrow button to expand the section.
5. Click ‘Turn on network discovery’.
6. Click ‘Apply’

Note: This solution is applicable with Windows and Wireless Network Printer.
